The Purpose of Evangelism (Luke 19:10)

2. To save…
1. The desired results
3. Three P’s of Evangelism
1. Presence
2. Proclamation
3. Persuasion
4. The goal of evangelism is to produce disciples

Making God’s Presence Known

1. This is why we are in the world (John 17:23)
2. Jesus’ example (Luke 19:1-10)
3. Make our presence count
1. Love others the way Christ does

Make sure we have an aroma!
“ To those who are perishing we are a fearful smell of death and doom.  But to those who are being saved we are a life-giving perfume.”                   - Corinthians 2:15 – 16 (NLT)

Going Deeper

1. What are some ways you could be a presence in the lives of one or two people on your list in the upcoming week?

1. Can you think of anyone who experienced you as a “life-giving perfume”?

1. Begin to write your story of how you came to Christ.  Include these three elements: life before Christ, how you received Christ as your Savior, and how life is different now because of Christ.

1. Read John 4:1-42.  What can we learn about evangelism from Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman?
