Policies And Procedures For Weddings

General Information

The New Guilford facilities will be available without charge for those who are active at New Guilford BIC Church. (Payment will be expected for musicians, sound technician, and custodians).

Alcohol is not permitted at wedding receptions held in New Guilford's Multi-Purpose Building.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the church building.

Throwing of bird seed and blowing of bubbles are only permitted outside of the building.

The nursery may be used as a dressing room for the bride and attendants. You are responsible for cleaning up any left over flowers, pins or accessories.

Music equipment is not to be moved unless confirmed with the church office.

Music at your wedding should be appropriate to the church setting. It will be left to the discretion of the church musicians (pianist, soloist, etc.) as to whether particular songs are suitable for use at New Guilford Church.

The church is open until 4:30 pm each evening. You are welcome to come and look over the facility. Please check with the church office for a suitable time.

We as a church are delighted to be of service to you for your special day. We wish you a happy and most blessed wedding day. Do feel free to call with any questions you might have.

Deposit Fee

Cash or Checks

A deposit of $100 is due to reserve our facilities. The remaining balance is due the Friday before the wedding. *The deposit is non-refundable if cancelled less than one month prior to the wedding*

Payments

Cash or Checks

Separate checks should be payable to the Sound Technician and Musicians. All other checks should be payable to New Guilford BIC Church. Checks should be given to the church office or mailed to :

Wedding and Reception Set-up

Make arrangements with the church office to see when the church is available for you to set-up.

Items Available For Use

Tables & chairs, (long tables (8 feet long) or round tables--8 chairs can fit around them comfortably). When using items of the church, it is your responsibility to put then away before leaving.

Contact the Church Office Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) to make arrangements for use of tables & chairs and/or decorating the multi-purpose building (gym and kitchen).

Kitchen utensils (wash and put away after use).

Kitchen appliances.

Must contact church office to arrange training on the gas stove.

Items Not Available For Use

Candle holders and runners.

Paper goods in the kitchen (plates, cups, napkins, etc.).

RENTAL FEES

STANDARD FEES

Sanctuary

Rental fee of the sanctuary will be $350. This includes the cleaning fee of $50 and the Sound Technician fee of $50 for the rehearsal, wedding, and a cassette of the ceremony. A Sound Technician is required for all wedding ceremonies. Contact the church office at least three months before your wedding to make arrangements for a Sound Technician.

Multi-Purpose Facility

(Gym and Kitchen)

A flat fee of $250 will be charged for wedding receptions held in the Multi-Purpose facility. The cost includes $50 for cleaning.

ADDITIONAL FEES

Musicians

Payment for our church musicians will be $100 per musician.

If you need a musician, contact the church office at least three months before your wedding.

Sound Technician

A flat fee of $50 will be charged if a Sound Technician is needed for the reception.
