“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy,
to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to the Lord,
for this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1 NIV
Here at New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church we feel that worship is very important! Scripture tells us that we are commanded to (Psalm 150:1 and 2), and created for worship. Because worship is so important to us, we incorporate it into every aspect of our ministries; not only through music, but also through prayer, reading and studying of the Word, giving of our tithes and offerings, sharing personal testimonies, special music and dramas, and fellowshipping with other believers.
Our Sunday morning services are held in the sanctuary at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Our worship through music is normally blended; a mix of contemporary music and traditional hymns and choruses. But despite what style of music is playing, the goal of each service is to create an environment where we can enter into the presence of God, so that He may reveal more of Himself to us.
More of You, Lord, and less of us! |
